The wandering wayfarer returns...

I have been disgraceful and negligent at filling this darn thing in.... I totally missed the purpose of a blog, to keep you informed of what is going on. I've had countless signings and mind boggling attention since my last post. The publicity tour, radio shows and readings were lots of fun, now it is good to be home for a bit and back starting the next novel.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, read me and complimented my first effort. Thank you to kind critics and bookstore owners and managers, and fellow authors who have refered me.

I am grateful and extremely blessed by so many people all over the country and in Canada and Great Britian. I thank you all.

Home from the L.A. Times Book Festival and it was fabulous.

I had a ball rubbing elbows with Gore Vidal, Stuart Woods, Julie Andrews, Valerie Bertinelli, Robert Ludlum, etc, etc, etc.... The Award Ceremony on Friday night was glamorous, much like the academy awards for books. I dined at Spago, Maestro and LaScala, stayed at the Thompson Beverly Hills and both Saturday and Sunday the weather was perfect, crowds friendly and I got such a kick out of people wanting to be photographed with me.... Who am I? Wow this book is certainly delivering my 15 minutes of fame to me in spades. I'm enjoying every minute. I will download the new pictures soon, but I am off to catch up with my girlfriends after being gone so long first for lunch. I'd also like to thank my new friend Chuck Clayton who shared a signing booth with me and helped make the book festival a huge success, his book is meant to teach Critical Thinking to High Schoolers, a very important undertaking and he's done it with style and flair, cartoons and common sense... see www.chuckclayton.com

Last evening, or rather at 1:30 am early this morning I did my fiftieth radio show and one of the most fun so far.... Peter Anthony Holder in Montreal CJAD and CFRB in Toronto. It was tough to stay up so late after returning on a red eye flight the night before, but boy was he worth it, a very smooth interviewer, I wish he was local so I could listen to him every night. Then this afternoon I just finished The Broadcast with Sherrie and Lola WKKX in Wheeling, WV, an all womens issues station with two wonderful ladies.

Life is still an unfolding daily adventure....

Wow so much going On and All pretty exciting.

I've done 41 Radio shows now and I am no longer uncomfortable, they've become lots of fun. All the signings have gone well too and again have become a delight. Now the next hurdle is a little more daunting and further from home. The L.A. Times Book Festival April 26 and 27th. And meeting with some movie people in L.A. on the Friday before it starts. I also have the beginnings of the possibility of being a guest on the Rachael Ray Show. I've also enjoyed some Inspirational Speech opportunities..... Although I am still confused by everyones interest and kindness. The book is selling beyond my wildest dreams and I can't believe how good all the reviews are.

Any way it's time to list the next local signings:

May 10th will be the BOOKSMITH in Seneca

Launching in about a week......

The Book Launch is so close and I alternate between wishing to sail off into another sunset and simply hideout and chomping at the bit to see the book finally out there in the public eye. I am a bit nervous but excited too. Letting the book go out in to the world is a little like having to appear in public naked. The reviews have all been very kind, but now you will all have a chance to see what you think. I just pray that you really will enjoy my first fiction. This isn't exactly like the first launching of my sailboat Adastra, at least I hope not, I was in a 40 hour storm and it was pretty scary! Yet this launch is still propelling me in to uncharted waters and I don't know quite what to expect. I will use this blog attached to my website to keep you posted on events and upcoming signings and the adventures of this new author. Please cheer me on in this new venture; and please read my book and thank you so much for your interest and support.
